The KA44370A is a gate driver IC designed for single-phase BLDC motors. Despite its ultra-small 4x4mm QFN package, it can directly drive external MOSFETs operating at up to 48V. This IC integrates a suite of safety features from Nuvoton, including over-temperature protection (OTP), overcurrent protection (OCP), phase lock detection, and motor fault detection.

Its sensorless design (no Hall sensors required) enables precise motor control while significantly reducing overall system cost. The KA44370A ensures smooth switching with low noise, making it ideal for applications that require stable, silent motor operation.

Thanks to Nuvoton’s smart design, the IC also supports low-power idle states, helping to prolong system life and reduce maintenance costs.
