1. Phone chip makers cut orders as phone demand plummets
This year, demand for the iPhone SE (a new line of mobile phones from Apple) is growing slowly, and annual shipments are predicted to drop by 10 million units. China’s major Android phone makers have cut about 170 million orders this year, or about 20% of their original plan.

2. Total NAND Flash revenue down 3.0% in Q1-2022
Demand for smartphones has declined due to the Russo-Ukrainian war, the off season and rising inflation. In Q1/22, NAND Flash bit shipments and average selling price decreased by 0.5% and 2.3%, respectively, resulting in a 3.0% decline in industry revenue QoQ, to $17.92 billion.
3. APAC will contribute 38% of market growth from 2022 to 2026
Increased automobile production in developing countries such as India and China, and an increase in electric vehicle production in countries such as Japan and South Korea, are expected to drive connector market growth.
