Tallysman – CR8894SXF+: GPS Antenna Built for Military and Maritime Infrastructure Applications

Tallysman introduces the CR8894SXF+, a high-performance GPS antenna featuring integrated CRPA technology and eXtended Filtering+ (XF+), designed for demanding military and maritime applications

More information

When GNSS reliability is critical in high-interference environments—from military operations and maritime missions to essential infrastructure—the CR8894SXF+ stands out as a superior solution. Combining Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA) technology and eXtended Filtering+ (XF+), it ensures maximum protection for Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) activities. The CR8894SXF+ is capable of mitigating or nullifying up to two interference sources, whether from the lower GNSS band (1189–1254 MHz) or the upper band (1559–1591 MHz).

This 4-element CRPA is engineered to receive dual-band GNSS signals, supporting GPS L1/L2, Galileo E1/E5b, GLONASS G2/G3, and BeiDou B1/B2b. The wideband antenna elements also accommodate the GPS M-code on both L1 and L2.

Calian implements two interference mitigation technologies: XF+ filtering and controlled reception patterns. The XF+ feature offers >80 dB out-of-band rejection from 400 MHz to 3000 MHz and separates upper and lower LNA amplification paths—if one path is jammed, the other remains functional.

Built using Tallysman technology, the CR8894SXF+ integrates advanced signal forming and interference suppression in a rugged, compact, surface-mountable housing. It includes two serial interfaces—RS232 and RS422—that output NMEA messages containing jamming alerts, mitigation status, interference band, and direction relative to the antenna, enhancing situational awareness.

With an IP69K-rated waterproof enclosure, the CR8894SXF+ is engineered to withstand harsh conditions and is ideal for military, UAV, and tactical vehicle deployments. It mounts via four screws, features standard SMA or TNC RF connectors, and sealed serial interface ports for reliable field performance.
