Production Project Manager
Job Description:
1. Planning and Progress Monitoring
- Develop detailed production plans based on B2B customer orders and third-party supplier capabilities.
- Closely monitor production progress at outsourced partners to ensure on-time delivery as committed.
2. Coordination with Third-Party Suppliers
- Work directly with suppliers to communicate technical requirements, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and recommend appropriate partners for each project.
3. Remote Quality Control
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure PCB products meet technical and quality standards (IPC, UL, ISO, IATF…) as well as specific customer requirements.
- Handle issues related to quality or delivery schedules and propose timely corrective actions.
4. Information Management and Reporting
- Continuously update production status from suppliers and prepare progress reports (daily, weekly) for management.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rate and defect rate from outsourced partners.
5. Outsourcing Process Optimization
- Propose improvements in supply chain management and collaboration processes with suppliers to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Ensure outsourcing costs stay within the approved budget.
6. Internal and Customer Communication
- Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Logistics teams to provide production updates to B2B customers.
- Address customer inquiries related to production progress and product quality.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in production project management or working with outsourced suppliers in the electronics components industry. Preference given to candidates with experience in PCB/PCBA production management.
- Familiarity with quality management standards such as UL, ISO, IPC, IATF, and systems like ERP, MES is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Production Management, or related fields.
- Basic knowledge of electronic components such as ICs, FETs, diodes, capacitors, resistors, inductors, sensors, and PCBs.
- Basic understanding of PCB manufacturing processes (SMT, THT) and relevant quality standards.
- Strong planning, negotiation, and communication skills with stakeholders (suppliers and internal teams).
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project management tools (MS Project, ERP) is a plus.
- Good English communication skills (reading technical documents, emailing, and meeting with foreign suppliers).
- High sense of responsibility, ability to work independently, and flexible problem-solving skills.
