The CDT is a Residual Current Monitoring (RCM) or Residual Current Detection (RCD) type B and B+ product. The sensors are designed to measure and protect against DC, AC, and AC+DC leakage currents. With LEM’s exclusive fluxgate architecture, the CDT sensor provides the best accuracy in its class, protecting against potential fire and electric shock hazards. The product can be configured with up to 4 current conductors at 48A, supporting both single-phase and three-phase systems, and provides optimized leakage measurements based on the design configuration.

The CDT current sensor offers fault current output and SPI bus, enabling fast response and detailed fault information. For automotive applications, such as Bidirectional Onboard Chargers, the ISO26262 ASIL B-compliant version provides safety diagnostics.
