Nuvoton- NAU88L21CYG: High performance audio codec

NAU88L21CYG – a high-performance, ultra-low-power audio codec that supports both analog and digital audio functions. It includes an I2S/PCM interface, a digital microphone interface, a digital mixer. Furthermore, it integrates two high-quality DACs and ADCs, and a class-G stereo headphone amplifier. The advanced on-chip signal processing engine includes a DRC compressor, a programmable bi-quad filter, and an integrated frequency-locked loop (FLL) to support a variety of input clocks.

Conventional codecs without a low-pass filter will cause high latency during audio data transmission from critical events, especially in real-time streaming applications. This will cause interruptions between audio and video streams, resulting in an unfriendly user experience. With Nuvoton’s new codec design, it reduces latency up to 6 times in real time compared to conventional Audio Codec. NAU88L21CYG is perfectly suited for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth wireless devices that require low group latency to provide the best audio experience for users.
