1. DB Hitek produces chips for Tesla
DB Hitek, a Korean foundry, will produce chips for Tesla cars. This chip is designed by an American fabless chip company, which will test DB Hitek in June, October 2024, and Tesla will also participate in the October 2024 test.
After testing, DB Hitek is expected to use a bipolar-CMOD-DMOS (or BCDMOS) process to produce the chip. The process combines analog, logic, and high-voltage devices into one chip, thereby reducing chip size, manufacturing time, and costs. The process is mainly used to produce power management ICs.
Tesla is currently collaborating with many manufacturing companies and chip manufacturers to produce many lines of chips to serve the needs of equipment and car production. 2. Micron plans to expand HBM chip production capacity in the US and consider production in Malaysia

Micron’s goal is to triple HBM’s market share to about 20% by 2025. That’s roughly the same as its DRAM chip market share, which TrendForce data shows is about 23% to 25%.

3. GlobalWafers receives 100 million euros in R&D subsidies from Italian government for fab expansion
