Field Application Engineer – Robotics, Automation & Power Electronics
Job description:
1. Research and Propose Technical Solutions
- Analyze technical requirements from clients, research and propose suitable solutions in fields such as robotics, automation, and power electronics.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop customized solutions tailored to client needs.
2. Technical Consulting for Clients
- Work closely with clients to fully understand their technical requirements and provide appropriate solutions through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training.
- Guide clients in evaluating and integrating electronic components into their designs.
- Act as a bridge between clients and suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met and provide joint support with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
3. Post-Sales Technical Support and Product Improvement
- Coordinate with clients and internal technical teams to identify root causes and provide prompt solutions for post-sales technical issues.
- Gather feedback from clients regarding product performance and features; recommend technical improvements or configuration adjustments to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
4. Collaboration with Suppliers
- Work with suppliers to gain in-depth knowledge of their product portfolios.
- Coordinate with suppliers to collect technical documentation and provide sample products to clients.
5. Understand and Build Client Relationships
- Understand customer needs in terms of products, technologies, project timelines, and volumes.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to build strong relationships with engineers and decision-makers involved in customer projects.
Requirements:
- No prior work experience required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of power electronic components (e.g., IGBT, MOSFET, drivers, DC-DC, AC-DC converters, motors, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of motor control algorithms and high-power supply systems
- Preferred candidates: Those who have participated in projects/theses related to robotics, motor control, automation systems, power electronics, inverters, or drivers; Experience in microcontroller programming (e.g., STM32, Arduino, etc.) or electronic circuit design is a plus
